My shelves are filled with children’s books and my Kindle is loaded with stories just waiting to be read. But then I see another great book in my feed or I get a DM from one of you and I just can’t help myself. Anyone else struggle with the need to #readallthebooks or is it just me?

Have you ever tried making pour paint ornaments? We did last year and the kids loved adding them to our tree again this year. These are super easy to make, but do take a little while to dry. Students could make these in class and give them to their family for Christmas. ... See MoreSee Less

I’m so excited that my latest picture book companion is finally finished and ready to share before Christmas. Night Tree by Eve Bunting is a beautiful story about one family’s yearly tradition of decorating a tree for the animals in the woods.
After reading the story, students can create their own night tree. The tree can remain plain or be decorated with paint, markers, hole punch circles, glitter glue, and more! I have included several writing prompts, but you can always have your students choose their own.
Like many of my book companions, you’ll also find comprehension questions, vocabulary activities, and graphic organizers to pair with the story. There’s even a tree-themed following directions activity.
Since this is a brand new resource, it will be half price until Saturday. You can find this resource here:
