I’m Storie, and I’m so glad you are here! I am a former teacher with a passion for creating and sharing the best books and resources for the classroom that will save you time and energy.

I was born and raised in Washington before earning my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho (go Vandals!). After college I moved back to Washington state, where I began my teaching career in a 4th grade classroom.
Though I started as an intermediate teacher, most of my time in the classroom was in 2nd and 3rd grade. I loved using small groups and centers to differentiate instruction. This was a great way to incorporate games to build excitement, maintain student engagement, and deepen understanding. But the best part of my day was sharing books with my students. Despite shying away from the spotlight, one of the highlights of my career was winning the Outstanding Young Educator Award through WSASCD!
After 12 years in the classroom, I stepped away to focus on raising my children. Once they started school, I found myself dedicating time each week to volunteering in the classroom. I absolutely loved working with small groups in reading, math, writing, and more! Additionally, I have spent countless hours in professional development and maintain an active teaching certificate so I can return to the classroom when the time is right for our family.
Outside of the classroom, you can find me doing all of the things that bring me joy! You’re likely to find me reading or listening to books, sipping a cup of coffee, walking, cheering on my kids at their activities & events, snuggling with my dogs, playing games, or simply spending a quiet evening at home with family.
