The Amazing Turkey Rescue

October 29, 2018

If you are a fan of Steve Metzger’s books, you need to grab a copy of The Amazing Turkey Rescue. This is a great book to read before Thanksgiving and I want to share a few freebies you can use with this story.

The Amazing Turkey Rescue by Steve Metzger is an entertaining book to read before Thanksgiving. Here is a set of discussion questions and a sequencing activity that can be used with this story.

About The Amazing Turkey Rescue

This book is the second in a trilogy written by Steve Metzger. The Amazing Turkey Rescue tells the story of what happened after Cassie, Wing, and Ollie left the farm. After a year of adventures, the turkeys receive a letter from Pete the Chicken. After a fox is spotted prowling around the henhouse, the turkeys must return to the farm to save their friends. Can they help the chickens fly the coop before it is too late? If you don’t already have a copy in your library, you can find these books on Amazon.

Students will cut them out and glue them in the order they happened in the story (first, next, then, last). You can print the two pages on different colors of paper to add more color.
