Fall Writing Crafts

When you think of fall, what comes to mind? For me, it’s leaves changing colors, cooling temperatures, and a trip to the pumpkin patch. In the classroom, you can get your students ready to welcome the new season in a fun way with these fall writing crafts! These are a great tool to use as students share their excitement and favorite things about fall.

FALL WRITING CRAFTS

This resource includes all the templates and writing prompts you need to put together six different writing crafts. This allows you to mix and match the crafts so there is more variety, or change things up from year to year. Here’s a closer peek at these fall writing crafts.

Owl Craft

Each craft includes writing templates. You can choose between handwriting lines or standard lines. Because these crafts can be made into booklets, students can add more than one writing page, if needed.

Pumpkin Craft

If you are allowed to hang crafts from the ceiling, you could glue student writing to the back side of these pumpkins and put them on display for everyone to enjoy.

Leaf Craft

As the leaves change colors outside your classroom window, students can capture their favorite fall memories with this leaf craft. Print the templates on a variety of your favorite fall colors to create a colorful bulletin board display.

Acorn Craft

Here’s another craft that could be hung from the classroom ceiling. Simply glue the student writing to the back side of the acorns before putting them on display.

Football Craft

I included this sports-themed craft for your football fans. These footballs lift up to reveal one or two pages of writing and would look great on a bulletin board.

Pie Craft

Because the pie craft creates a pocket, students can add several pages of writing inside. There are writing templates as well as blank templates so students can add pictures as well.
