About Santa’s Stuck

This playful picture book answers the age-old question: Just how does Santa shimmy up and down chimneys? Not very easily sometimes! When the rotund fellow with a sweet tooth overdoes it on the snacks, he gets stuck inside a chimney. The reindeer on the roof try pulling him out, to no avail. A dog, a cat, and some kittens try pushing from below, with no luck. It takes a tiny, ingenious mouse to come up with the way to POP! Santa out so that Christmas can go on. Good show—ho, ho, ho!

Santa's Stuck is a fun rhyming story that imagines what would happen if Santa ate too many treats on Christmas Eve and got stuck in the chimney! Here are some free activities you can pair with this book.

Santa’s Stuck Writing Craft

I just couldn’t resist creating a craft to pair with this story. Students will piece together a fireplace with Santa’s legs dangling inside, just like the story. This can stand alone, or be paired with a piece of writing. The finished craft is about a half-page in size.
